The training initiative is organised by the RE-ACT Regional Audiovisual Cooperation and Training in
partnership with the
CEE Animation Workshop and the Slovene Animated Film Association.
The 4-day workshop is aimed at film producers who are working on their first animation projects or who have no
previous
experience of animation but would like to enter this industry in order to co-produce animation projects. The focus
is on
strengthening co-operation between the countries and territories of the RE-ACT member states: Friuli Venezia Giulia
(ITA), Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.
The intensive training will offer a balanced combination of practical exercises led by two experienced animation
film
producers, Anna Mroczek (Poland) and Ilan Urroz (France), group work, lectures,
case studies and in-depth information on
the animation industry in the region and beyond. In the evenings, the workshop will be combined with parallel
animation
industry events in the region, bringing together around 100 film professionals for networking and exchange among
participants.
The training is aimed at 8 participants, with or without a project, who would like to improve their
understanding of
animation production in the field of co-development and co-production and enter this field. The focus will be on
producer skills, but additional information will also be provided on the creative involvement of producers in
international co-productions.
